JACOBIN PIGEONS

Origin of Jacobin Pigeon:
The Jacobin pigeon has been named after the Jacobin order of monks that date back to 1100 and were characterized by their hooded habits. Some breeders say that this pigeon was developed in the 1500’s from a specific mutation. This breed also went through many stages of development before becoming the present day Jacobin.
